PIT BULL WHO SAVED TEEN FROM WOULD-BE RAPIST IN RED HOOK GETS MAJOR REWARD

Pit Bulls have traditionally been given a bad rap. They are portrayed as extremely aggressive dogs. Some say pits are bred to kill and may maul and maim other pets in the home. Pit bull puppy Apollo wants to change that negative image. He is credited with saving his teenaged owner from being raped in Red Hook. A man grabbed the 18 year-year-old girl from behind throwing her to the ground. Apollo sprang into action and bit the molester on the leg, causing him to run for his life.
