The end of 2016 is finally here and boy has this year been one for the books. This year Brooklyn experienced many major challenges and participated in several successes. Brooklynites felt the Bern, survived a tough presidential campaign, supported new businesses, resisted gentrification, celebrated Biggie’s birthday with a full on Bad Boy Reunion, danced in Fort Greene to “Purple Rain” with Spike Lee, savored a diversity of cuisines, kept up with the latest fashion trends while remaining unique, mourned the loss of some greats, watched police wage war on communities and marched with #BlackLivesMatter and supported the people of Flint.
