JAY Z BECOMES FIRST RAPPER TO BE NOMINATED FOR THE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME

From the Marcy Projects to Songwriters Hall Of Fame nomination – Brooklyn born Jay Z continues to make history. If inducted at a New York gala on June 15, 2017, Jay becomes the first rapper in history to enter the Hall. Songwriters are eligible for induction after having a songwriting career that spans at least 20 years. Other nominees that could be inducted next year are Madonna, Babyface, Max Martin, Kool & the Gang and more.
