Rikers: An Americal Jail, is a riverting new documentary that brings you face to face with men and women who have endured incarceration there. Their stories told include beatings and stabbings, the torure of solitary confinement and the psychological barriers of returning to the outside world. Following the film there will be a talk back which will include 2 of the people featured in the documentary.

Part poetry, part portraiture, part dance, and part music- the play takes an irreverent and impassioned look at the ways we create our identity. The play asks: How was I created and who’s really in control of who I am? The Guide is inspired by the life (and crimes) of the infamous, international jewel thief, Doris Payne, who travelled the world successfully pulling off movie-worthy heists during a time when most African-Americans were fighting for basic human rights in the country they built.
