DJ Khaled is having the best year of his life.

Today, Barclays Center named the record producer as the first ever Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment (BSE) artist ambassador.

As BSE’s artist ambassador, Khaled will be the face of BSE’s social accounts. He’ll begin hosting takeovers on the company’s various Snapchat pages, and appear at a variety of events at Barclays Center and NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Khaled will also help curate the artist lineup for a show at Barclays Center and DJ events at the Coliseum on Long Island. In addition, he will activate Billboard Lounge at Barclays Center following Brooklyn Nets games, with the first appearance scheduled for opening night on Friday, Oct. 20.

“I’m grateful to BSE and Roc Nation for this partnership,” said Khaled. “After discussing collaboration opportunities with Brett and the BSE team, I knew this was the right opportunity for me. We really connected on music, our business vision, and our appreciation for family.”

Khaled’s larger-than-life social media presence has earned him more than 6 million Snapchat followers, 7 million Instagram followers, and 3.6 million Twitter followers, who tune in for his daily inspirational messages on fatherhood, working hard, and achieving success. Khaled’s Snapchat alone is one of the most globally watched accounts, with each post earning 3 to 4 million views apiece.

Brett Yormark, CEO of BSE, gave Khaled the highest praise by calling him the “ultimate influencer.”

“He will help us further transcend the lines between the pop culture, sports and music communities, deepening BSE’s brand connection to a younger audience, hip-hop fans and sports enthusiasts alike,” Yormark said in a press release.
