The famous “Love Letter to Brooklyn” that can be found next door to Macy’s on the corner of Livingston St., in Downtown Brooklyn soon will be no more. The artist of the legendary street art, Steve Powers, took to Instagram to express his sadness.
“Last days for love letter Brooklyn. The garage at Hoyt and Livingston closes today, says Powers. “Thank You @chinobyi and @icysigns and @colossalmedia and @macys and most of all Brooklyn for making me the man I am today (in a 3/4 shearling).

The famous piece that includes words like “I was nurtured here” and “Onward, Upward” has been apart of Brooklyn since 2011 and quickly became the most Instagrammed street art pieces in the borough. Powers previously told the The Atlantic “My paint can bring a community up…” So sad that developers are now tearing it down.
