Brooklynite, Tracy Morgan, made his way back to the big stage as he hosted Hot 97’s April Fools Day Comedy Show — made HOT by: Marquee Concerts, at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. This was Tracy’s stand up debut post his 2015 traumatic accident with involving a Walmart truck.

Tracy expressed his gratitude and excitement to be back in the Big Apple and with the help of a supportive NYC audience, a panel of great comedians and positive vibes, he was able to humor the packed theater and make light of his past pain.

The evening’s lineup consisted of comedians T Woods, Aries Spears, NYC Radio Personality Rickey Smiley, Felipe Esparza, Domonique, and Wild N’ Out’s very own Deray Davis. All of the comedians for the evening came with their best performances while touching on several world trending topics. In between each act, Tracy would come out and discuss his accident, his road to recovery and when he knew the “Mac” was back. He explained, once he began overly eating, he knew he was fully back to himself.

The Brooklyn actor also handed out relationship tips to the younger generation, informing them of the do’s and don’ts of dating; such as not allowing cellphones and social media to conflict with their relationships. Of course with the help of a few hilarious personal scenarios to drive his point the audience was truly grateful for his words of wisdom. The positivity and jokes continued as Domonique, the only female comedian for the evening, delivered her own messages, many very political. As she concluded her act, she encouraged everyone with-in the audience to get out and vote.

There was never a dull moment as the show continued, however the last act laughed people all way out the door. Empire season one actor as well as Wild N’ Out comedian, Deray Davis, showed up and showed out. He touched on different things, from his shouting mama who faked the holy ghost and winked at him in the midst to him fathering his daughter. One thing Deray stressed and doesn’t believe in he says is beating his daughter because he doesn’t expect for her to grow up thinking its acceptable for a man to beat on her to discipline her. Amazing!

The jokes were funny, the laughter was there and the audience was proud of Tracy Morgan finding the light again in his life.
