This is not just Brooklyn news this is national news. For almost a month 276 girls were kidnapped from their schools in Nigeria, by an Islamist militant group, Boko Haram. News broke all around the world as we weep along with the girls mothers, praying for a solution to bring these girls home. Boko Harem has threatened to sell the girls, and has been allegedly reported that some have already been sold.

Today video has finally been released showing about 136 of the, less than half of the girls that were abducted last month. They have all been converted to the Muslim religion as most of them were Christian.

“These girls, these girls you occupy yourselves with… we have indeed liberated them. These girls have become Muslims,” Abubakar Shekau says in the video.

Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau said the children would be held until all imprisoned militants had been freed. Interior Minister Abba Moro rejected the deal, telling the BBC that it was “absurd” for a “terrorist group” to try to set conditions.

Local officials said they had started making copies of the video to show relatives and friends of the abducted girls in an attempt to identify them.
