And there goes the neighborhood…

Thanks to JDS Development, Brooklyn is reportedly receiving a 1,000 ft skyscraper — projected to be the tallest building in New York outside of Manhattan. Though reports have been swirling, we’ve finally acquired the first rendering of the wedding cake-inspired tower to be located at 340 Flatbush Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn.

The tower, set to debut in Brooklyn by 2019, will span about 466,000 square feet, and be divided amongst 550 units, with approximately 90 floors of residential space and commercial development, likely including the refurbished Dime Savings Bank.
