As part of NYC park’s “Movies Under The Stars” series and to celebrate Music Month with NYC Parks and New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, on Saturday, June 17, Fort Greene park will be screening the 2007 documentary Notorious B.I.G: Bigger Than Life.
The film by Peter Spirer features rare home video footage, an interview with Biggie shortly before his death and undisclosed video footage from the night of his murder. The rapper’s closest friends and some of the biggest names in hip-hop also tell stories about the late rapper’s life and music.
The film screening begins promptly at 8:30 p.m., but early arrival is encouraged to get a good spot for the film. Bring your own picnic blanket or chair. Food is allowed, however alcohol and smoking will not be permitted.
