We haven’t even gotten over the pain of losing to Philadelphia to host the Democratic National Convention next year and Mayor Bill De Blasio is already speaking Brooklyn to host the DNC 2020.
After the announcement that the DNC 2016 would be held in Philadelphia, the Mayor held a press conference in City Hall to discuss the loss for Brooklyn. “I do believe a convention in Brooklyn would have sent a great message about what this country needs to be in the future,” de Blasio said.

Although Brooklyn coming as a loss was a surprise to many; security and parking was a huge issue in the decision making. The mayor won’t hold on to the loss too long as he stated, “We’ll certainly consider.
