There’s a show headed to Williamsburg, that brings to life — through performance art, the records of one American astronaut’s travels out of space.
Kenji Williams, director and mastermind behind the show Bella Gaia, presents an “audiovisual experience that combines NASA satellite imagery of Earth, time lapse nature photography, and cultural heritage footage with stirring live performances of music and dance from around the world.” The show to be held on Sunday, August 30th at Brooklyn Bowl on 61 Wythe Ave., was inspired by Williams’ encounter with astronaut, Mike Fincke and learned about the transformative experience labeled the “Overview Effect.” The discovery of this outer body like experience came to Fincke as he viewed Earth from outer space.

The show’s program, in collaboration with NASA, used the agency’s videos and data to create a 90-minute presentation that’s projected onto a large screen and accompanied by live performances of heart-throbbing world music and dance.
The show is scheduled to begin promptly at 7 p.m. — for tickets and more information visit HERE.
