One of Brooklyn’s most picturesque hotels has announced dates for the showing of their fall art exhibition.

The NU Hotel, a member of the Independent Collection – a growing collection of cultivated and intimate lifestyle hotels will showcase local Brooklyn artist Suzy Kopf’s most recent works, ‘It Doesn’t Get Better, It Just Gets Different,’ which explores the dynamics between sameness and uniqueness in America – the paradox between the beautiful and the banal, and how this is expressed in American culture.

The art-friendly hotel partners with local and regional artists to showcase their works via lobby exhibitions as well as through its NU Perspectives program, in which local artists are given license to paint floor-to-ceiling murals on the walls of select guestrooms.

Her work is really thought-provoking and gives guests something to think about over breakfast.

To celebrate the exhibition, a reception is being held on September 3rd, from 6 – 9 p.m., at the hotel on 85 Smith St. in Downtown Brooklyn. The exhibition will be displayed in the hotel lobby until the end of September.
