Be a part of the DanceAfrica community through this inclusive class, where adults of all physical abilities learn the rhythmic beats of the South African gumboot dance. African and diasporic dance forms celebrate community and every aspect of life, providing a unique window into the culture, history, and traditions of the people. Participants in this interactive workshop experience the diverse cultural traditions of Africa with feet stomping, hands clapping, and voices blending!

Chef Tyson is on a delicious mission. After uncovering and learning the secrets of North Carolina steemed BBQ hogmasters, Chef Tyson opened shop in NY to bring the best BBQ in the world to BK. Spend a few hours at their 44-foot long bar, or bask in the sun in the 3,000 square foot beer garden. Ticket includes open buffet of souther delights, pig roast and banana pudding!

Memorial Day Concert

Bring a blanket and enjoy this free early summer performance featuring the ISO Symphonic Band and Orchestra. Each year the cemetery features the works of Green-Wood’s permanent residents like Fred Ebb, Louis Moreau Gottschalk, and Paul Jabara. This year’s concert will include a special program to celebrate the 100th birthday of Leonard Bernstein, the famed composer and conductor of the New York Philharmonic, who created timeless works such as West Side Story and On the Town, among others.
