Join Brooklyn Children’s Museum to explore the ways women and girls have expressed themselves, their strength and resilience. Harlem-based artist Faith Ringgold’s work will inspire a community quilt, Mierle Laderman Ukeles’ long time residency with the New York Sanitation Department will inspire 3D sculptures made with found objects, and BCM’s own Oasa DuVerney of Brooklyn Hi-Art! Machine will spark a collaborative weaving project.
