Netflix is in talks of distributing Spike Lee’s next film, “Da 5 Bloods,” according to Variety.
As the Brooklyn director eyes his first Oscar for “BlacKkKlansman,” reports claim Lee has tapped “Black Panther” star, Chadwick Boseman lead the ensemble cast. Delroy Lindo (“Crooklyn”) and Jean Reno are also in negotiations to star in the film.
The film follows a group of Vietnam veterans who return to the Vietnam jungle to “find their lost innocence and put their broken selves back together.” Production is expected to begin early next month, shortly after Lee’s Oscar campaign for “BlacKkKlansman” has officially wrapped up. “BlacKkKlansman” earned six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director.
