The NBA is officially getting us pumped for NBA All-Star 2015 right here in New York City!
Earlier today the NBA released the 2015 East and West All-Star jerseys. Immediately fans will notice differences between this year’s jerseys and jerseys of the past. For one, the sleeves on the jerseys seemed to have disappeared.
The official Adidas brand jerseys are outfitted with stars on the right side of the tank and shorts to represent the five boroughs. Each star has their own meaning for their respected borough. The Brooklyn star includes a distinctive brick pattern that represents our iconic brownstones and buildings in the vastly populated borough. The Queens star includes the steel grid that represents the huge globe out in Flushing. The Bronx star includes circular vinyl lines that represents where hip-hop started. The Manhattan star includes a checkered board design that represents the taxis seen throughout the borough. Finally, the Staten Island star includes waves that represents he ferry ride to the borough.
I mean sure there are some desserts that run high on the list as well as maybe your favorite sports team winning the season ending championship game, but for the most part nothing http://appalachianmagazine.com/2016/12/31/multiple-buildings-in-maui-flooded-roads-closed-due-to-landslides-brown-water-advisory-issued-for-entire-island/ cialis samples beats “the release.”Just saying it relieves tension.
The main logo is located on the left of the shorts which is a unique blend of the Brooklyn’s Barclays center floor and the New York Knicks old school logo. This actually takes the place of the traditional “East” and “West” typically displayed on the front of the jerseys. ALL-STARS of the Eastern conference will play in white based jerseys that will have black name lettering and blue numbers. The ALL-STARS of the Western conference will play in black based jerseys with white named lettering and red numbers. The players first and last name will be featured on the back of the jersey as well.
So when can we get our hands on these uniforms? While there is no specific release date, the NBA has targeted a release sometime in January with a price tag between $80 and $110.
Remember ALL-STAR voting begins on December 10th. Brooklyn’s Barclays Center will host Friday and Saturday nights activities on Feb 13th and 14th which include the Rising stars challenge, 3-point shooting contest and Slam Dunk Contest. Manhattan will host the actual NBA ALL-STAR game on Sunday Feb 15th.
