There’s going to be a heap of end-of-the summer partying in DUMBO.

A series of dance parties, ‘Tunnel Vision’, are headed under the Manhattan bridge in that awesome tunnel we all love. The parties are expected to follow where Target First Saturday Dance Parties at the Brooklyn Museum left off. Unfortunately, those parties were cancelled in 2012 due to overwhelming crowds.

‘Tunnel Vision’ will begin this Saturday from 3-7pm and is expected to be very family friendly. There will be picnic tables (bring your own food), hula hoops and bubbles for the kids.

“Our mission is to inspire creativity and build community using quality music, dance and art in a monumental public space,” the Tunnel Vision team said in a statement. “We’re putting a 21st century spin on the traditional Brooklyn block party.”

This Saturday’s dance will be hosted by Sahr Ngaujah of the Broadway play “Fela!” and feature DJs Donald G. Bernard, Monday Blue and Mr. Klean.

If you’ve seen Fela!, then you know what you are in for!
