The Battle for Brooklyn is officially going down!
Democratic presidential rivals Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders will face off in a debate on April 14 in Brooklyn at Brooklyn Navy Yard, after days of questionable rumors. The two candidates accepted CNN’s offer to hold the debate five days before the April 19 primary, the network said Monday.
“We are glad that she finally has agreed,” said Michael Briggs, Sanders’ spokesman, to Daily Mail. “Sanders all along has pressed for a debate on television in prime time so the greatest number of New Yorkers and Americans may listen to the candidates and decide for themselves who has the best ideas about how to reform our rigged economy and the corrupt campaign finance system.”
Brian Fallow, Clinton’s spokesperson couldn’t wait to show his excitement on the forthcoming debate.

Bernie Sander’s, though he has home-court advantage, lags in opinion polls in New York. Clinton, in an effort to show Sanders she’s not concerned about his Brooklyn roots, opened her campaign headquarters in the borough last year. They’re both in full competition to win over Brooklyn’s hearts and votes.
The debate, to be moderated by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, will air live from 9-11pm ET and on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Espanol, and will be live-streamed online and across mobile devices via CNNgo.
