Brooklyn BRIC House Is Getting New JazzFest This Fall

As much as we are enjoying the summer here in Brooklyn, something just got us really excited for the fall!

According to The New York Times, a new jazz festival is making it’s way to BRIC House. For those unfamiliar with BRIC, it is the leading presenter in free cultural programming in Brooklyn. BRIC takes pride in presenting diverse work from various artists.

Ron Carter, an American jazz double-bassist and jazz Hall-of-Famer, is one of the featured acts we can expect to see perform along with Danny Simmons, an avid painter and poet. Jaime Woods, a gospel singer who has shared a stage with Emily King, Bilal, and more will also perform artistically in a part of the fest known as “Stoop Series”. To conclude the JazzFest, there will be a two-night marathon inclusive of 18 ensembles, confirmed artists include tenor saxophonist Kamasi Washington, drummer Allison Miller, pianist Kris Bowers, and more.

The very first BRIC JazzFest will take place from October 11 to the 16th.  Ticket sales for the public begin on August 11 at noon.
