Arianna Huffington To Speak At Brooklyn Women & Entrepreneurship Event

Arianna Huffington, the genius behind Huffington Post and CEO and Founder of Thrive Global, will headline the first EQUELLE Global Series Event, “Women & Entrepreneurship” on Friday, November 4 at St. Francis College Founders Hall (180 Remsen Street).

The new series, sponsored by Women to Women by Julia, a nonprofit dedicated to changing the lives and future of women through mindfulness and a shared vision, looks to bring together stakeholders, experts, and influencers to discuss issues for women in business and startups and to collaboratively brainstorm tactics for change.

“Empowering women entrepreneurs is a core value of the Center,” said Eda Sanchez-Persampieri, Director of the St. Francis College Center for Entrepreneurship, in a press release.




Melanie Contreras, CEO and Founder of Women to Women by Julia, aims “to change the future of women through collaboration between women and men, world leaders, influencers and individuals.”

Other speakers at the event include Dr. Richard Daviddson (Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison), Ita Ekpoudom (Tigress Ventures, Member of Center for Entrepreneurship Advisory Board), Jennie Baik (Orchard Mile), Daniella Kranjac (Dynamk Capital), Melanie Contreras (Women to Women by Julia), and Star Young (Women to Women by Julia).

“There is an amazing synergy between the mission of the Center and Women to Women by Julia,” said Chairman of the Center for Entrepreneurship Dennis Anderson. “Having recently held our third annual Women Entrepreneur Forum, we are excited to continue promoting the significant impact that women entrepreneurs have within the United States and globally.”

The event will kick off at 6pm and is FREE and open to the public.
