The Brooklyn CAA has a full roster of musical talent to entertain and motivate New Yorkers to join in the Gun Violence Prevention movement. It will send a strong message about the importance of voting in November. There will also be a live auction of concert tickets, artwork, memorabilia and a celebrity signed guitar.

Plant Medicine for Fall Transitions

Healing plants can help ground us as we move through seasonal transitions. With instructor Myrna Cabán Lezcano, learn about plants we can harvest locally during the fall and make a nourishing herbal drink with a vinegar and honey base called an oxymel.

Illegal Ink: The bizarre story of NYC’s Tattoo Ban

A stellar lineup of five historians and tattoo artists who lived this history tell the story of the tattoo ban in NYC that lasted from 1961-1997. Christa Avampato will be your host on this trip filled with fascinating artists who worked under the prohibition of ink for nearly 40 years. Two artists will be doing historical flash tattoos during the event.
