This weekend Brooklyn celebrates and honors the birth and legacy of hip-hop icon Christopher Wallace — the Notorious B.I.G. From the epic Bad Boy Reunion Tour kick-off at Barclays Center to the BP Eric Adams officially announcing May 21— Biggie’s Birthday — as “Christopher Wallace Day”, you can’t help but recognize how Biggie changed the game for Brooklyn.
He put the borough on the map!
What if the rapper, who would have turned 44 today, was still alive? What would he be rapping about? Who would he be collaborating with? We decided to think of songs we believe Biggie would give us. If he had an album out today, this is how it would flow:
“Damn, Where The Hood At?”
Feat. Bed-stuy natives Jay Z and Fabolous
This song would be about the major changes happening in his hometown neighborhood of Bed-Stuy. Not what the rapper is used to, but he’d adjust.
“I Had A Few Beckys”
Feat Lil’ Kim
This song would be in response to Beyonce’s “Don’t Hurt Yourself” and all the ladies B.I.G. has had in the past. Calling out names would be the highlight of this track.
“To the Empire”
This track will be a special song reflecting on Biggie’s past, present and walk of life.
“Who’s Your Daddy”
Feat. Future
This song would discuss the woes of being a father to your child while another man is in a step role.
“Arrived”
Feat. Prince, Whitney, Michael Jackson
There are on line viagra valsonindia.com several generic version of Sildenafil which are the replicas of the much expensive prescription drugs.
This track would be a special song elaborating on what used to be REAL MUSIC and the prayers that other artist can carry the legacy of the fallen.
“History’s Here”
Feat. Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar
This track would highlight the first Black President, Barack Obama, and how he, in his 8 years in office, has changed America.
“Out of Touch w/ Reality”
This song, produced by Stevie J., would be an ode to mainstream television. What it’s doing to our youth and how it’s impacting the music industry.
“Unbelievable”
Feat. Kanye West
This song discusses real men loosing themselves in staying relevant in the entertainment industry. Now with the new wave of social media and “Instagram celebrities” who’s even real any more?
“The 718 Come Up”
Feat. East New York native Uncle Murder and Bed-stuy’s Maino
This song would be a call for a new wave of Brooklyn rappers who are willing to change the game. Jay Z and Fabolous are getting older and the new younger Brooklyn artist are just not cutting it. This would probably be the “advice track” on the album.
“Its Coming to An End”
This song discusses the 2016 Presidential race. I mean BIG was very political in his own way.
The album would be called It Was All A Dream because it would be a dream to get another album from the Brooklyn great.
