Columbia, Princeton, Brown, Yale. The ties between these institutions and America’s “peculiar institution” are deep. Historian Eric Foner heads the Columbia University and Slavery Project. Martha Sandweiss heads a similar project at Princeton. Join them as they uncover slavery’s historic connections to elite campuses in a conversation moderated by Craig Wilder, author of Ebony & Ivy: Race, Slavery and the Troubled History of America’s Universities.
