Woman Who Released 300 Crickets On The Train Hopes To Work With Tyler Perry Someday

The woman who was selling crickets and worms on a Brooklyn-bound D train, then having them slapped out of her hand releasing them to fly around the train car, has some big dreams. Yes she set passengers into a frenzy by releasing 300 crickets and at least 200 worms, but she insist it was all for a good cause.

Zaida Pugh, an actress (according to her Facebook page), was arrested on Tuesday and charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, false reporting of an incident, and disorderly conduct. Pugh was taken into custody hours after posting a Facebook Live video apologizing for the incident.

Oh just another day on the NYC subway. A woman was selling crickets and worms on a Brooklyn-bound D train and freaked out after a teenage passenger bumped her, releasing all the bugs onto everyone. A video posted to Instagram showed Pugh selling the bugs to panicked commuters. “I’m selling them. These are a quarter each. I need money, please. Please stop running from me.”” she said.

In Pugh’s 40-minute Facebook video, she stated that the incident was all part of an act in order to see how people treat the homeless, yet admits it should have been done differently.

“I just wanted my art and messages to spread across the world and people get my point of views,” she said. “I’m just sorry for everything. I don’t know what’s going to happen to me.”

Idell Johnson-Atherley, who backed her niece’s prank stated, “Zaida do you, you been doing videos for a while, it’s not your fault it went wrong f what people say.”

Pugh who is said to be receiving numerous death threats replied, “I don’t think I have much I can do anymore aunty my life is like over now .. and I’m getting death threats..people also was following me outside me yesterday I’m so hurt and scared..my life feels over for a wife and mother. Whatever happens to me aunty whether I’m alive or not I love u and make sure u tell the fam not to stress and just always stick together tell them I’m sorry I stayed away but I was always going through slot in my life but now this happen I’m failed as a parent and my life.”

Though Pugh seems to be a bit unhappy at the way her “art” played out, she has mentioned that she hopes to work with Tyler Perry in the near future.
