We all have that dream of becoming a rapper, hitting mainstream and performing in-front of thousands at the Barclays Center. Ok, maybe not you but I did have that dream once. As fast as it came is as fast as it went away. There are some people who need to have this dream disappear as well.
When does “Brooklyn” rap go too far? When a Brooklyn comedian releases an entire music video about Brooklyn. In all honesty, I would have slightly preferred a comedic monologue rather than a music video. Tim Emberle is the brave Brooklyn based writer and comedian that embrace the music video challenge and put it up on You Tube for us all to critique.
Emberle goes by the name “The Brownstoner” in his video called Brownstone Crooklyn. While he does capture the essence of Brooklyn, he did keep to his comedic background by making me laugh a couple of times at his persistence to keep in flow and sound like a legit rapper. Emberle gets an A for effort and doing what I believe he sought out to do, make us all laugh.
