Before you know it, 2016 will be here. We will all be bidding President Barack Obama a farewell for his historical two terms of service and planning for our next US President to move to Washington. Next week member of the Democratic National Committee’s Technical Advisory Group will come to New York to hear the Mayor De Blasio’s pitch on why Brooklyn should hold the Democratic National Convention as opposed to the other locations in the running. As of right now Brooklyn’s Barclays Center is up against Birmingham, Alabama; Columbus, Ohio; Philadelphia and Phoenix. The mayor is talking private ferries, a special “Convention Week” metro-card (sounds wonderful), celebrity athletes and actors to accompany delegates to Broadway shows (imagine) amongst other spectacular things.
