Presidents and books! Former United States President, Bill Clinton was seen at Powerhouse Arena in Dumbo yesterday afternoon.  Clinton was just randomly enjoying his free time in Brooklyn and decided to stop into the beautiful book store to add some good reads to his summer collection.

According to the Gothamist the former President purchased for books that you might also want to add to your collection.

  1. Laura Lamont’s Life in Pictures by Emma Straub
  2. Pitching in a Pinch by Christy Mathewson
  3. The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler
  4. The People of Forever Are Not Afraid by Shani Boianjiu

The Gothamist also wrote the Floor Manager of the Dumbo bookstore, Jordan Nielsen, stated

“He was exceedingly polite and generous, and commented that he really liked our space and selection of books we offer, and posed for pictures with a few customers and staff members. He had been in the neighborhood and spotted our store and was curious about it and just strolled in to do a little shopping. Suffice it to say, it was the shock of a lifetime for those of us here just expecting a regular Thursday!”

Good to see Clinton looking good and enjoying a day in Brooklyn. We only hope that his wife, Hilary Clinton chooses to run in 2016 for US Presidency and the National Convention be held here at Barclays Center. Brooklyn would all be such a much better place.
