Danny Castro of Lyricist Lounge  and Bianca Romero of Defiant Entertainment and Livestream teamed up with Livestream Public last month to host the first ever Skillosophy event. It was so popular that they are now requesting visual artists as well as a performing artists to submit samples of work for their June Skillosophy.

For those who missed it, Skillosophy is kind of what it sounds like: an exhibition of unique creatives who live and practice more than one artistic discipline, from painting to sculpture, digital art, freestyling, fencing, barbering, and/or cooking. The idea is that art is your way of life, or your waves of life (Just tryin’ to reference Kayne as hip hop recording artist, songwriter, record producer, fashion designer, AND entrepreneur. He’s what you would call a pro skillosopher.)

Though so many artists displayed their artistic abilities in the handful of rooms of cool vibes, three that stood out to me included MC Supernatural (Renowned MC, lyricist and host of Rock the Bells, who is also an artist and sculptor), Laolu Senbanjo (Human Rights Lawyer, who is also an artist and musician), and Queen Herawin (Painter, MC, and member of the hip-hop group Juggaknots).
All of these symptoms are indicators commander levitra http://robertrobb.com/legislature-should-clarify-public-health-emergency-laws/ of poor cardiovascular health.

If you like art and music, Skillosophy would definitely be your vibe. MC Supernatural stated the multidisciplinary expressions of the night best: “When I first started rhyming, I thought everyone freestyled. My mom told me not to touch her record player but one day I played Rapper’s Delight and when I flipped it over there was an instrumental and I started free styling…You gotta improvise all the time. That’s when, I drew an alien one day. You’ll see my painting over there (points to the back).”

Once DJs took the stage and artists and guests mingled or ate some yummy catered food by Empanada Lady NYC, Laolu Senbanjo kept the night going by making body art in front of his paintings. Queen Herawin also slayed everyone with her profound paintings, many of which moved me because of their strong female subjects.

Skillosophy moved with these artists until 2am, when people left in the best kind of drunk – the drunk that results from intoxication of art and music.

For the June edition, current artists who would like to take part, can include but are not limited to painters who are in a band, fashion designers who are DJs, so on and so forth. You are welcome to submit samples to SkillosophyShow@gmail.com.
