He-Got-Game

Tonight, Jesus Shuttlesworth from Spike Lee’s 1998 Film, “He Got Game” is back playing on the home court of the Brooklyn Nets! Jesus  was played by Ray Allen of the Miami Heat alongside Denzel Washington,  Jake Shuttlesworth, a prison inmate convicted for killing his wife who also happens to be the father of a top-ranked basketball prospect in the country. Parts of the movie were filmed in good ole’ Coney Island!

According to “The Province,”  Ray Allen and Spike Lee have spent time over the last couple of months discussing a “He Got Game” Sequel! Oh I would love to see that!

Allen stated Tuesday night before the Pelicans vs. Miami game, “Sequels to most movies are always fluff and not as good as the first, but it’s something we’ve been talking about for the last couple months. If we get a really good story line and are able to bring everybody back, then it would be something worth doing.”

Ray Allen to this day still gets called Jesus by his teammates. He is fully committed to making the sequel happen! It’s been 16 years since the original! Will you be watching? Here is the original for now!
