It’s a sad day for Girls lovers as Lena Dunham’s HBO hit comedy-series is officially coming to an end.
According to E! Online, the Brooklyn-based Golden Globe winning series, that follows the lives of four young women in Bushwick, will conclude after its 6th season in 2017. During a phone interview with Elvis Duran and the Morning Show back in September of 2015, Dunham hinted to the Girls ending.
“Never say never, but that is the way we’re thinking about it right now and we’re starting to think about sort of how to wrap up the storylines of these particular young women,” Dunham says. “It’s really exciting. I started working on this show when I was 23, and I’m going to be 30 so it kind of feels right that this show kind of sandwiched my 20s and then I go off into the world.”
Low stress lifestyle – can’t emphasize this enough. (order cheap viagra) http://cute-n-tiny.com/tag/seal/
The ending doesn’t come as a surprise as many of the cast members have contractual obligations and this would give them more free time. Fortunately for us American fans, season five will not premiere until February 21, leaving us with a full two season fix satisfaction.
What will Lena do after Girls? Well, the 29-year-old is already busy directing another HBO pilot, Max. Dunham, the very vocal feminist, readies up the new single-camera comedy, starring Lisa Joyce, which follows the struggles of second wave feminism, centered on an ambitious magazine writer, Maxine Woodruff (Joyce), looking for liberation in the 1960s.
Girls may be going but Lena Dunham looks like she definitely won’t leave us hanging.
