Official Trailer For Newest Spike Lee Joint ‘Chiraq’ Is Released

Spike Lee is always working and “that’s the truth ruth.”
The filmmaker is gearing up for the release of his new movie Chiraq. The film, stacked with A-list actors including Teyonah Paris, Samuel L. Jackson, Nick Cannon, Jennifer Hudson, Wesley Snipes, Lala Anthony and Angela Bassett, follows a tale loosely based off of the ancient Greek comedy Lysistrata. In the play originally performed in classical Athens in 411 BC, women agreed to withhold sex from husbands and boyfriends in an attempt to garner peace in the city and stop the murder epidemic. Chiraq will tell a similar tale and explore gang violence in the city of Chicago.
Today, Lee released the first official trailer and we must say, as always, this could very well be a classic.
