Oh how I love new things! Brooklyn continues to grow and offer it’s residents new products and services. Whether it be food, entertainment, beauty care or a brand new retail shop, Brooklyn is putting it down in the “new business” department. Small businesses as well as huge chain brands are coming to a neighborhood near you!

In July, BCakeNY will be opening it’s very first retail shop. BCakeNY is known for their over the top custom cakes that are not only overwhelmingly beautiful but insanely tasty. With cakes this spectacular, you usually get either or. Either the cake is complete perfection visually and lacks in taste or the taste is exquisite but lacks visual appeal. BCakeNY has seemingly found a way to merge the two.

So many times you just want to go into their shop, located 702 Washington Avenue and buy a slice of cake, it’s that good. Unfortunately, that location you can only special order a cake or purchase cupcakes. The good news, next month you will be able to get all of that and then some at their new location, BCakeShop, located on 740 Bergen Street in Prospect Heights. To instantly satisfy your cravings they will have available for purchase cupcakes, pastries, small cakes, cakes pops, paletas (fresh fruit ice pops) and much more.

On top of that, BCakeShop will host cake classes and cake decorating birthday parties.

On Saturday, Miriam, owner of BCakeNY and the new BCakeShop hosted an official lunch party where I was honored to dabble in all the new sweets that are expected to be sold at the shop. BCakeShop will be THAT bakery that everyone clings to in Brooklyn. The sweets are delightful and she will now be known for more that just cake.
