Just hold on, we’re headed to Miami! We can all thank Paul “The Truth” Pierce for that. Right when we needed Pierce the most, we got him. In his own words, “That’s why I’m here!” Pierce blocked Kyle Lowry’s shot attempt on the final play of the game, and the Nets held off the Toronto Raptors 104-103 in Game 7 to advance to the second round of the playoffs.
We can all breathe a QUICK sigh of relief, for what seemed to be the longest series ever. Even Mr. Carter, Jay Z himself, had to come out of Twitter hibernation to speak on the final game of this series. Thats huge since his last tweet was July 8th, 2013.
Congrats Toronto on a hard fought series. #spreadloveitsthebrooklynway

The Nets will begin the Eastern Conference semifinals at Miami on Tuesday night, facing the two-time defending NBA champions. Although during the regular season the Miami Heat never won a game, a complete 4-0, they have had plenty time to rest. After completely sweeping the Charlotte Bobcats out of their playoff first round series, Miami has had about a week to just relax.
Can Brooklyn pose as a threat? Brooklyn is the only team Miami was unable to beat this season. Brooklyn is also the only team to ever sweep the ‘Big Three’ in a regular season series. Brooklyn head Coach, Jason Kidd and the Nets have practically figured out all of the Heat’s weak spots. Every time these two teams compete, the Nets expose the Heat’s defensive weaknesses and completely control the Heat’s offense. This for sure will be a very interesting match up!
My predictions? A little to early to tell. I have to watch the first game to analyze it. Will the Brooklyn Nets get swept? Absolutely not! I could easily see this series going six games.
Time will tell!
