Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen Pop-Up Exhibit Officially Opens In Williamsburg

It’s official, you can now view a complete timeline of pop-culture icons, the Olsen twins, running away from the paparazzi in an new Williamsburg art exhibit.

THNK1994, a pop-up museum located on 563 Grand Street has kicked off their The Olsen Twins Hiding From The Paparazzi exhibit thanks to a successful crowd funding campaign started by Brooklyn comedians/roommates Viviana Olen and Matt Harkins.

The museum features a number of donor contributions — the most significant is one which re-creates Mary-Kate’s cigarette-spread detail at her recent wedding.

“When Mary-Kate got married, it really solidified their status I feel,” Harkins told Pix11. “She married Olive Sarkozy and there were articles of bowls and bowls of cigarettes at their wedding and everyone smoked all night.”

The museum had it’s grand opening gala on Friday and will stay open for a limited two weeks.

  • Staged Reading of “How 2 Make an Apple Pie” Matt and Viviana’s original screenplay based on the urban legend that Michael Jackson, Liz Taylor and Marlon Brando escaped NYC after 9/11 in a rental car.
