The next time you hear someone say that rappers don’t look out or give back to their communities, make sure you educate them, with all the facts only of-course.

In recent hip hop news, rapper Lupe Fiasco has started an organization entitled “Neighborhood Start Fund,” in hopes of assisting local entrepreneurs in neighborhoods that lack resources. In present day 2015, there are tons of people who have brilliant ideas, and would love to work full time as an entrepreneur to grow their passion, but either lack support or funding, maybe even both.

Lupe along with Dream Big Foundation and the Head of Global Partnerships have partnered to do something extraordinary for the people of underprivileged communities. The idea of the organization is to provide funds to promising startups. They understand the need for more diverse entrepreneurs who bring forth fresh ideas and new innovations to life. The first neighborhood blessed with this opportunity is non-other than Brownsville.
