Park Slope, home to the 39-year-old late rapper Robert Alan Diaz a.k.a Pumpkinhead, might be granting his friends and family a wish. A wish that would make sure he is remembered and that is to have a street named after the late rapper whose birth name is Robert Diaz. If everything goes as planned, Degraw Street between 4th and 5th Avenues, will be renamed.
According to DNAInfo, committee member S.J. Avery wasn’t exactly a fan of the possible renaming of a street being after a rapper, Â but thoroughly understood that he wasn’t “that kind of rapper”. She also added that “As Park Slope changes, I think it’s important to remember who was there and that we have a tradition that’s longer than the new condos that are there now.”
A large cialis 10 mg percentage of bulimics will need to learn about the important safety information first.
Ah-em, think she’s referring to “gentrification”. If we don’t honor those before us, and make sure that they’re legacy is protected, we will slowly forget the history of our borough. “He spoke about his life and his truth, he spoke about the love of his friends, family, and of course growing up in Park Slope,” stated Claudia Imperiale, a close friend to Pumpkinhead told DNAInfo. “He was an example to everyone, that you can be whatever you want to be and to never give up on your dreams.”
Although, the street renaming hasn’t been made official as it’s waiting to be approved by the city council, we are very hopeful that the change is going to happen.
