With all the warm weather we have been having, how could you not be gearing up for 4th of July. Macy’s annual firework extravaganza will be set off from the Brooklyn Bridge and East River this year. For the past five years, New Jersey has been getting prime view as the fireworks were set off over the Hudson River, infuriating many Brooklyn residents. Macy’s fireworks first moved to the Hudson in 2009 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s voyage of discovery up the river. It has been there ever since, but Brooklyn fought hard! Thanks to Mayor Bill De Blasio, a Brooklynite, we have received once again, one of the biggest shows in Brooklyn. The best spots to catch the beautiful rays of light will include Brooklyn Bridge Park, the DUMBO waterfront and the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.
