Brooklyn’s own rising star, Justine Skye is swiftly climbing the ladder of success.

The 21-year-old singer recently announced a collaboration with Forever 21, which includes an exclusive song and limited edition spring festival line. The self proclaimed “purple unicorn” has incorporated her own style and creativity into what will replace previous years’ generic Coachella look.

Last spring fringe was a uniformed look at all the biggest music festivals. From shirts to skirts, bags and boots, we couldn’t get away from the decorative style but this year Forever 21 is turning down the boho look and bringing back the 80’s with metallic boots, cropped graphic tees, loads of mesh and accessories modeled after VHS tapes.

“People enjoy going to festivals so much and put a lot of planning into it. Your outfits while there have to match that excitement and energy you put out all year thinking about this moment when it finally arrives,” Justine Skye told Refinery 29 in a recent interview.

The festival collection goes live today, with Justine Skye fans getting first dibs.

Today, the songbird also released her new song, “Flames,” as part of the collaboration. Gearing up to release her debut album, the single gives us a new and fresh sound we haven’t heard on her previous EPs. The video (watch above) shows the singer wearing clothes from the new festival line.
