When you think winter, you don’t necessarily think of blooming flowers, but maybe FREE time at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) could change you mind.

The public garden kicked off necessary free winter weekday admission. Every Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., until February 28, 2018, the garden will be free for everyone.  Explore with outdoor walks, educational programs, and self-guided tours highlighting the quiet beauty of the Garden’s 52 acres of grounds and conservatories. Enjoy tropical greenery, an exotic desert landscape, orchids and aquatic plants, and warm microclimates in the Steinhardt Conservatory’s Tropical, Desert, and Warm-Temperate Pavilions, Aquatic House, and C.V. Starr Bonsai Museum.

From December through March, BBG presents its First Sundays series of winter programming for families and adults, featuring outdoor bird walks, garden tours to alleviate the winter blues, indoor conservatory tours, workshops for kids, and more. All First Sundays tours, walks, and workshops are free with Garden admission.
