Beyonce Is To Lemonade What Concord Hill Restaurant Is To Red Wine Sangria

Beyonce’s Lemonade has taken the internet by storm. When life gives you lemons, you make an album, right?

Well, Concord Hill’s Red Wine Sangria is everything Beyonce’s new album is to me. Their cup of seasonal fruit and cava is my new husband and it’s everything that helps me forget and everything I want to remember. It’s just so damn good.

Move over Becky!

For my first time at Concord Hill, I felt invited immediately. The waiter greeted my mother and I with warm eye contact and a charming smile. He looked like Ryan Gosling. It’s actually ironic because his name was Ryan. I was excited to sit down and grab just a glass of wine (I had a 2 for 1 coupon from Brokelyn.com) but was quickly swept off my feet by Concord Hill’s bomb sangria.

The Red Wine Sangria smelled perfect and looked even better. It was the ideal shade of red; like the perfect red lipstick for a night on the town. And there was bubble enough to make your mouth well…orgasm really. I think my mouth had an orgasm.

The last time I enjoyed that splash of bubble in my sangria was when I had my first cup of sangria in Madrid, Spain on my first European trip. I was just shy of 21 when I had my first glass, and Concord Hill brought back all those great memories.

The Manhattan restaurant, Westville, is to thank for Concord Hill’s opening a little over a year ago as their founders are Westville alum. It makes sense since their menu is just as vegetable heavy; really an ideal location for an intimate night out with friends or family while also eating healthy.

If you have time this spring, please try Concord Hill’s Red Wine Sangria with fresh fruits and cava. Their side of lamb meatballs, served with tzatziki and fresh herbs are also superb.

And don’t forget the vegetables, my mom always said.
