Ben & Jerry’s Creates Limited Edition Bernie Sanders Ice Cream

It’s no surprise that Democratic Presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders, is giving his Clinton a run for her money in gaining some of the biggest endorsements in campaign history.
The Brooklyn-born senator has gained a huge backing from the famous Vermont (where Sanders has been senator since 2007) ice-cream empire, Ben & Jerry’s, and this past Monday, Ben Cohen, Ben & Jerry’s co-founder, announced he has created a new flavor celebrating Bernie Sanders’ White House run.
“Nothing is so unstoppable as a flavor whose time has finally come,” Cohen detailed on his Facebook page alongside a picture displaying a pint of “Bernie’s Yearning” ice cream.

The limited-edition flavor, labeled “Bernie’s Yearning,” not currently being sold in stores, is described as a plain mint ice cream beneath a solid layer of chocolate on top.
“The chocolate disc represents the huge majority of economic gains that gone to the top 1 percent since the end of the recession,” the flavor’s packaging states. “Beneath it, the rest of us.
Only 40 pints of the ice cream have been made of which 25 were sent to Sanders’s campaign and a special contest is being held for the final 15 cartons.
“We’ve seen him and we believe him,” says Cohen.
