If you’ve been keeping up with the series that follows four post-college girls just trying to find their way in some of Brooklyn’s dopest neighborhoods, then you most likely have been watching the HBO hit show “Girls“.  There are many mixed reviews on this show. Many absolutely love it, while there are some noticing a lack of diversity and putting a select few about the others.

The show was created by a young 26 year old women, by the name Lena Dunham. The show is partially based on Dunham’s own experiences as a recent graduate in New York while exploring different experiences of young college graduates have from sex, friendships and working in an expensive city with a horrible economy.

On Location Tours is now in talks with HBO to bring a bus tour to some of the spots filmed in the TV show. On Location Tours is has brought many coach buses to different television landmarks across the city.

According to the New York Daily News,

“We’ve been thinking of planning one because we’re so strong on movie-based tours,” said On Location Tours Pres. Georgette Blau, adding that if all goes as planned tourists could be heading to Brooklyn and beyond by the fall.

The circuit would focus on everything from Greenpoint’s coffee outpost Café Grumpy, where Lena Dunham’s character Hannah Horvath once slung lattes, to a Bushwick warehouse where Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) accidentally smokes crack.

But don’t expect a glitzy romp through the West Village to Sex and the City staple Magnolia Bakery, or past the Condé Nast building where Carrie Bradshaw once penned articles for Vogue, on a “Girls” tour — much of the hit show takes place far away from the bright lights of the big city.

“The locations aren’t exactly glamorous,” said Blau of Greenpoint, Prospect Heights and Bushwick, where Shoshanna and Ray hit a warehouse party in season one of the hit HBO comedy. “But,” she adds, “they’re authentic.”
