Summer is officially here (at-least according to this extremely hot weather) and it’s time to get yourself busy with some activities in Brooklyn.
The days are longer, nights are warmer, clothes get fewer, skin gets tanner and drinks are colder. Growing up in Brooklyn, there are a few things that you look forward to once summer arrives, and being out and about is one of them. Brooklyn is arguably the best and most populous borough in NYC. I mean can you really blame everyone whose relocating to the borough responsible for B.I.GÂ and Jay Z.
Recently, I overheard someone say in a restaurant, “Brooklyn is the new Manhattan.” And I thought to myself, Really? They’re probably referring to the influx of prices on everything, everywhere; that’s it! Brooklyn has swagger, it’s authentic, there’s no place in the world like it.
Brooklyn is known for it’s complex diversity, their unique and independent art scene and their distinct culture just to name a few. So without further adieu, here are a few activities in Brooklyn that you must do before Fall quickly arrives.

2. Have a picnic in Prospect Park.
3. Attend a FREE outdoor concert at Wingate Park, Red Hook Park or Prospect Park Bandshell.
