Talent is spread throughout the borough. As part of Brooklyn Museum’s upcoming exhibit, Crossing Brooklyn, thirty-five Brooklyn-based artist and collectives will present their work all around Brooklyn including the museum.
The exhibit will feature Brooklyn’s best drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptures, videos, installations and performances.
According to the museum’s website, Crossing Brooklyn: Art from Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, and Beyond presents a multigenerational picture that recognizes the borough’s long-established role as a creative center. Other themes explored in the exhibition include history and memory, place and geography, community, nostalgia, exchange, ephemerality, and politics, both local and remote.
