At just 22-years-old, Joe Landolina of Brooklyn Heights has been successful in creating an animal healing gel. The innovative product called Vetigel is said to stop bleeding animal wounds in seconds.
“Vets I’ve talked to are very excited to start using it,” Dr. Jason Berg, a veterinary and neurology specialist at Yonkers animal hospital the Animal Specialty Center told the Brooklyn Paper. “It’s going to save a lot of lives.”

While Landolina is currently making headlines for his new invention, he should also be applauded for graduating with a master’s degree in biomedical engineering at the wee age of 21 from Downtown’s New York University Polytechnical School of Engineering.
