If you’re not counting down the days till next February then you’re probably not anything like me. Today the NBA introduced the 2015 All-Star logo and I must say, it’s so New York!

The new logo design pays homage to the two New York teams, your Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks. Why both teams? Next year’s All-Star festivities will be split between the Barclay’s Center and Madison Square Garden. Friday and Saturday nights will be in Brooklyn while the official game on Sunday nigh, for the fifth time, will take place in Manhattan.

The inspiration behind the logo design comes from the iconic MTA public transportation signs that New York City is widely know for. The logos colors are reminiscent of the two New York NBA teams. The colors black and white for the Nets and blue and orange representing the Knicks.
