Brooklynites spend too many hours working and need a few hours of laughter.
BK Brew Ha! Ha!, produced by His and Her Productions, brings much needed laughter to Williamsburg. Once a month since December 10, 2014, the stand-up comedy show brings a killer line-up of experienced comedians from the Food Network, MTV’s Guy Code, Comedy Central and Broad City, just to name a few. Past shows have included, the regulars—Nimesh Patel, Jared Freid, and Mike Recine but every month brings a new line-up with even bigger laughs.
“As soon as we signed our first contract, I already knew which comedians I wanted to do the show. The first call I made was to Vince August,” comedian and producer of the show, Deborah Brooks, told us of the actor/comedian who created the quirky name. “He didn’t answer, so I left him a voicemail with all of the details. I said ‘I’m producing a comedy show, it’s going to be at the Brooklyn Brewery, please, please be on the show.’ When he called me back the first thing he said was, ‘Is it going to be a real brew ha! ha!?’ I laughed but he didn’t hear me because we had a bad connection or his phone was on mute, or something. So, he called me back and said it again and the name just took!

The next live show, scheduled for Berry Park (4 Berry Park), is on Tuesday May 26, 2015 at 8PM and tickets are only $15. The line-up includes Matteo Lane of MTV’s Guy Code, Megan Gailey of Comedy Central, John Early of Broad City and Deborah Brooks herself, amongst others.
