Who doesn’t love a good Disney princess movie? I mean, Frozen is still the crazy around here. The fairytales are all different but somehow have the same synopsis. There’s a princess trying to find her way and then there’s a prince that sweeps her off her feet. Oh how we long to all become Disney princesses. But, have you ever stopped to think what happened after the magical storybook ends? Like should we demand a prologue? What if they all left their homes and moved to a far, far away land called Brooklyn, New York? What neighborhood would they move to? Well, if Disney left it up to us, we have an idea how this story continues.
Jasmine and Aladdin: Downtown Brooklyn
Jasmine is over the sheltered life and just wants to explore and live the good life. She wants it all, five-star restaurants, jumping nightlife, a romantic movie that will help her broaden her imagination and her husband Aladdin wants to give it all to her. The couple moved from their hometown of Agrabah to Downtown Brooklyn to be free and enjoy all the new things happening in the neighborhood. They are both filthy rich, thanks to Jasmine’s inherited trust fund, so they don’t work (for now). They shop, work out at New York Sports Club, eat, watch movies and shop some more. When it gets really dark, they take magic carpet rides into the neighboring promenade until the sun rises.
Tiana and Prince Naveen: Williamsburg
Being the hard worker that she is, Princess Tiana and her husband Naveen moved to Williamsburg where her dreams of opening her own restaurant finally come true. Her restaurant would bring the taste of New Orleans to the neighborhood where she would serve her iconic gumbo, mouthwatering crawfish and everyone’s favorite and speciality item on the menu, frog legs. Tiana’s restaurant would be a hit and her husband would support and help her out any way he could.
Belle and Prince Adam:Â Prospect Heights
Belle is a person of intellect, who enjoys reading and finding the good in others. After falling in love and marrying Prince Adam, the two moved to Prospect Heights, where Belle becomes a librarian at the largest library in the borough and on her down time, spends numerous hours at local coffee shops. Doing what you ask…reading while her husband Adam dabbles in real estate and wishes for everyone to live in castle-like brownstones.
Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip: DUMBO
It was hard for Aurora to adjust to the city life when her and prince Phillip moved DUMBO. Aurora who lived in the forest knew nothing about city life but she was ready for the change and she could get used to DUMBO’s semi-quiet neighborhood. Once she became fully adjusted she found it a joy to spend her time at Brooklyn Bridge Park and enjoy the amazing scenery.

After Snow White falls in love and marries her Prince, the two move into a three family home in Crown Heights. (They need enough room for their seven special friends that like to visit them quite often.) Â The couple loves the growing neighborhood but quickly sees the need for a daycare center. Snow White is compassionate and caring and has a huge heart for little people and see that many of the neighborhood’s families don’t have a convenient daycare center; therefore her husband builds one. In her down time, she finds pleasure at the local fruit stand where she visits quite often in search for juicy red apples.
Pocahontas and John Smith:Â Prospect-Lefferts Gardens
If there’s on thing Pocahontas loves, it’s nature and animals. Pocahontas and her husband John Smith could think of no better place to move to in Brooklyn but Propect-Lefferts Gardens. Pocahontas found an amazing job at the local Prospect Park Zoo and on her lunch breaks would head over to Prospect Park where she would lay on the grass and sing to the birds. Both her’s and John Smith’s life is simple and low key, the way they both like it. That is of-course till their families come to visit.
Ariel and Prince Eric: Bay Ridge
Ariel is clearly a fish out of the water. Being a former mermaid, she needs to always be by the water. That of-course is if she were to ever get homesick. So her husband Prince Eric agreed to move to Bay Ridge were they could live in one of those daw dropping mansions but still be close to the water. A happy wife makes a happy life and a happy father-in-law.
Cinderella and Prince Charming: Brooklyn Heights
Things just kept getting better for Cinderella, thanks to her fairy godmother who gave her a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to the Prince’s ball. It was there that she and the man of her dreams fell in love and shortly after got married. After finding each other again, the two got married and settled in Brooklyn Heights, where Cinderella enjoys her time being a house wife in the neighborhood’s elaborate $32 million condo. Though she loves her job of running the household, she has a house maid—because for some personal reason she doesn’t enjoy cleaning.
Mulan and Li Shang: Bedford- Stuyvesant
Mulan is known as the warrior who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. Mulan and husband, Li Shang, moved from China to Bedford-Stuyvesant. This was the perfect place for the two as they both headstrong, powerful individuals. They each hold rallies and public neighborhood events to keep Bed-Stuy alive and safe. Milan dreams of going to the army but she’s worried about missing her favorite restaurant in the nabe, Peaches.
…and they all lived Happily Ever After.
