Victor Ortiz happens to be the boxer most people are placing their bets on.The fight is actually being marketed as a comeback match for Victor. He hasn’t fought since June 2012, when a broken jaw forced him to retire, in the ninth round against Josesito Lopez. Before this, in September 2011, Victor had a match up with Floyd “Money” Mayweather where he lost his WBC Welterweight Title.

Luis Collazo, the underdog, who happens to be from Brooklyn, hasn’t been in the ring with a notable fighter in a while. His last championship was during 2004 – 2005 where he held the WBA Welterweight Title.

Luis Collazo told Lern Satterfeild of TheRing.com,

My main thing is to go in there and to frustrate him and to touch that jaw. I haven’t taken any time off. He’s taken some time off, and I hope that he’s able to go to work. This fight is going to define my future, especially here in Brooklyn in my home town. I’m not going to lose in Brooklyn. Not at home.

Both fighters sound extremely confident and ready for the matchup! What are your predictions? You know we here are always rooting for Brooklyn! 🙂
